Hollywood’s fascination with India continues. Just after the superhero film, The Avengers, hit screens in the US, the buzz is that the filmmakers are looking to follow Kathryn Bigelow and Christopher Nolan in to India. Sources reveal that three scenes in the sequel to the Marvel Studios film may be shot in the country.
“Maharashtra and some locations up north have apparently been shortlisted as of now,” reveals a source.
This comes shortly after claims that Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty and Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises have also been filmed in India. Sam Mendes’ Bond 23 was also rumoured to be scouting for locations here, but those plans were cancelled when the Indian Railways attached too many conditions to the shoot.
